The Street Plans Collaborative, in partnership with The Center for Applied Transect Studies (CATS), has published the first Bicycling SmartCode Module. The SmartCode is a model open-source, transect-based, form-based code that legalizes smart growth in communities of all types. Two years in the makingThe Bicycling Module assigns bicycle parking and bikeway types to the logic of the rural-to-urban transect so that such facilities may be implemented in a contextually appropriate and smart growth supportive manner.
