Kathryn Reid Moore
Director, The Street Plans Collaborative South office
Kathryn Reid Moore joins The Street Plans Collaborative as Director of the Miami Office after two years serving the City of Miami. As Special Aide to Mayor Manny Diaz, Kathryn worked on a variety of transit and sustainability projects, including Miami 21, the City of Miami Climate Action Plan and most notably, the Bicycle Action and Master Plans, among others. Kathryn is credited with creating and coordinating the City of Miami's first bicycling encouragement program, which includes new policies, educational campaigns, a website and blog, community rides and Bike Miami Days, Florida’s first and only ciclovia.
The event has allowed thousands of residents and visitors to discover the benefits of creating a bicycle and pedestrian-friendly city, while also exposing them to a myriad of civic issues within Miami's revitalizing urban core. Kathryn is available for direct consulting on ciclovia planning, public outreach and engagement campaigns, government affairs and social media/marketing.
She is also available for public speaking engagements through which she presents the unique opportunity of ciclovias to promote community and increase the public's understanding of alternative transportation and progressive land use issues. In addition to her work with TSPC, Kathryn serves as President of the Board of Directors for the formed Miami Bicycle Coalition, which seeks to promote collaboration among existing pro-cycling organizations throughout the Greater Miami area.
